Project Description
Meeks Design Group discovered the survey they had in place for their project was insufficient, as the trees were not tagged, DBH measurements were clearly estimated, trees smaller than the City’s required minimum were included, and large areas of the site showed no trees at all.
After speaking with Tree Mann Solutions, it was decided that a new survey should be conducted from scratch. TMS inventoried 391 trees on site, with 40 of those trees found to be in poor or very poor condition. 159 of the previously unaccounted for trees were included in the survey, giving a much more accurate representation of the site when considering which areas to preserve.
With multiple large creeks running through this site, traversing he site and accessing all the areas was a challenge. Additionally the site had very dense understory that was thick with Privet and Yaupon. The TMS team handled this project very quickly so Meeks Design Group could submit to the City quickly and maintain their existing timeframes for the project.
